The new episode of Hardlore is tough for me because Through Being Cool is one of my favorite records of all time and my friend and I used to listen to it all time driving around and singing it at the top of our lungs. He unfortunately committed suicide a few years ago after he came down with a serious medical condition. On top of that, it’s also unsettling to know Chris has accusations against him and openly admitted to them. I’m going to watch the episode in remembrance to him and all the good times we shared.
Anyone remember this band? Bryan Garris has nothing on Mike Ski. Although, their sound is similar to Drug Church now and funny enough Pat guests on the new song.
The new SMTB album's great. I appreciate the risks they took on it; some welcome expansion on their sound. Could do without the three interlude-y tracks though.
Really enjoyed my one listen of the SMTB. only about halfway through the new parts and labor (which barely fits in this thread but we don't seem to have an indie rock thread) but it's fantastic so far. always bums me out when bands break a long hiatus to make a whatever album, like why not take your time and make a big swing? well this is a big-ass swing.
