There was like 2 months in 2012 when all anyone talked about on the B9 board was Boston Strangler. That’s when I learned my favorite phrase “mysterious guy hardcore”
I love the random useless subgenre tags the internet has come up with over the years because it doesn't make a damn bit of sense, but you know exactly what they're talking about. Amazingcore and stadium crust come to mind for me.
Mysterious guy hardcore always sounded like the hardcore equivalent of a one man black metal project to me not knowing anything else about it.
