Nothing ever announced, lots of stories. His claim is he was called up and told he was being kicked out without a reason given.
Slime dude is also apparently in Kidnapped and Wreckage so I'll give him a pass on talking like a goof when it's clear he has decent intentions.
Not that I've been back there in over a decade or anything, but cool to see Hampton have a venue for shows at. It's always Norfolk or VB that got the cool stuff!
Don't see many people from the 757 online and if I do it's usually VA Beach/Norfolk/etc. But yeah super cool that Hampton got this!
Combust last night was awesome. They have really put in the work and have become such a tight band. They played the new song and announced that they have a three way split coming with BYBO and Imposter.
Also, Terror, Combust, Guilt Trip and Dying Wish are among many others joining the roster of Feed the Beat. A program run by Taco Bell where they essentially sponsor them and give them free food on the road while also having their music in commercials. I saw this after the show and prior to it, Andrew from Combust had made a comment during the night that no matter what happens , they are still a hardcore band. I didn’t know what he meant until I saw it. Honestly, I think it’s kind of cool.
They had a smaller version in Norfolk and Chesapeake last year with Crown of Thornz as the big headliner. The Vanguard is a much better spot as much as I love the venue they had it in Norfolk at if they're going to scale it up. I'm not mad about a presence establishing itself on the Peninsula as opposed to the Southside. It's been since like 2008(?) with Liberty IV since we've had a spot of some renown over here, but we'll see how long this one lasts. The VB/757 hardcore kids has a tendency to fuck up their relationships with any decent venue before it gets started so might as well have some fun in the mean time.
@Nate_Johnson @Meghin @swboyd 7/18 killing pace record release. New world man, spike pit and against the world
Oh DAMN I have to see what I’m doing that day. Seems like a good day to work from the new Richmond office!
Man, I’m like beyond happy for Knocked Loose and I love that they’ve had so much success but nah, I’m not paying almost $80 to see them on their upcoming tour.
i also hate the factory and don’t wanna drive all the way out there. wish there was a venue for heavier shows that was bigger than the pageant in the city but everything else down here is 350-1k cap
