I've already watched once on my own, and once with a friend haha. Though the crowd seems very lively here, it seems as though TIHC didn't sell really as well as previous years sadly. The fest is amazing for those into that scene/crowd. Always loved the Electric Factory.
My first hardcore show ever was: Candiria One King Down Earth Crisis It was interesting because it was during the cycle for God Love’s Man Kills and John was the vocalist and went on to form Spark Lights the Friction(another fantastic band by the way!)
Also, I know this is stretching the boundaries of the typical bands discussed here, but is anyone a 7 Angels 7 Plagues fan? Been revisiting their albums this past week. Idk how I loved production of stuff like theirs when I was younger (what did my ears know about quality) but the nostalgia is still very much there.
I wasn't aware of 7 Angels 7 Plagues until after their break up. Misery Signals is a beloved band for me and they were how I discovered 7A7P. Both excellent bands.
I just downloaded that 7a7p record because Of Malice and Mirrors are two of my favorite heavy records
Malice is the holy grail of Melodic Hardcore/Metal to me. Untouchable, front to back. Branden Morgan makes me want to never pick up sticks again.
Since i'm on one now for MisSigs, this is a must watch for fans of. Still can't believe we'll have a new album with Jesse in the near future.
7A7P aw man this brought me back. The production was like a part of the scene/community/identity back then. The shittiness of the production from this era was almost like an extra instrument haha.
I feel like a lot of the heavy hardcore that’s popular now is hit-or-miss but I’m very into the No Right and Never Ending Game ep’s
I can't even see the tweet at work but I know what it is. Already looked at flights to Dallas. $345 round trip.
This record just turned 10. I frequently go back and forth on one of Violation, Lewd Acts, or Mother of Mercy being the most underrated 00’s band
