I'm listening to The Carrier and am reminded how good this band was and their first LP is a ducking classic.

 

So apparently Jesus Piece broke up and Aaron started a replacement band called Je$us Piece if the rumors are true. Wonder what happened

 

That band has had a lot of tension, I feel. I think there is a lot of love within the band, but man, would they always be arguing at shows with each other. This was the Only Self days, but I felt like I always heard stuff about them breaking up. Their bassist eventually left to do a vintage game store or something along those lines. It wouldn’t surprise me if it eventually ended, but for a while they have been a perfectly imperfect band. Probably a part the reason (along with life and the Nothing days) that there were big gaps between records and tours.

The rest of the band found out though through that flyer. When they got asked if they were actually playing the fest and replied we don’t know who Je$us Piece is, that’s how they found out Aaron is continuing the band with all new members

 

I mean people love Aaron, but Jesus Piece wasn’t super big or anything. Have respect for the rest of the guys, and start a new band, literally most will follow to the new stuff.

Is this really that weird? Frontman/band schisms are as old as hardcore. Anyway, the last record was good. RIP.
