Anyways, get there early for Clique and Jarhead Fertilizer. Very cool show. Kruelty were definitely my favorite set of the night.

 

I'm not a fan. Only on track 5 but I don't think I really dig the songs much either unfortunately.

I got the Harms Way/Full of Hell on Thursday. Will be my first time back at the legendary Webster Underground for a hardcore show in a very long time, might die of nostalgia

 

I posted it in the nu metal thread too so...

 

I can't really think of a 1:1 but its nu metal/alt leaning. Maybe early Deftones?

 

Same vein (hah) of Bleed, Fleshwater, etc

 

I was trying to find an earlier influence but yeah it sounds like that stuff.

 

The first song from the Turnstile Fallon performance is the first non-hardcore song from them where I’m genuinely like…..no thanks

 

I'm hoping it was just the fact bands always sound shitty on Fallon tbh, but it did remind me a lot of a High Vis b-side without the clear Britishness.

I'm starting to definitely notice how much of an asset Brady was to the band because the guitarwork is hitting a little different here - not that Meg and Pat aren't capable, but something just feels a little off.

 

I honestly don’t mind it. The sound is very much a continuation of Glow On and I’m very much a fan of it. But I get it, if you jumped ship on that album then this one will most likely not be for you.

 

Trying to hold off on the Fallon clip to hear new songs. Going to see the visual album in theaters tomorrow to heard the album in full for the first time.
