Haven't listened to it yet but if it sounds like Recon I'll probably like it

 

to be clear i don't think he's ever recorded with them, just think he's been a live member

 

Cool, so hype up those other bands instead of shitting on things other people like.

This kind of take is so irksome, “ugh, this thing I don’t like because of * hand wave * is bringing positive attention to this thing I do like. How fucking dare they!”

 

They're not wrong that there's better straight edge out there though.

why? is there some mysterious calculus that xweaponx has that the others don’t? is it just a daze thing? probably just a bryan thing. frontman stuff.

 

I think the calculus, as Greg says in the tweet, is that xweaponx is just more accessible than the other bands

 

idk… church tongue’s new record was a pretty solid listen. doesn’t add up

But the weapon X joint is solid.

 

I like the church tongue record. I’d be much more likely to recommend xweaponx to a friend who doesn’t love hardcore than I would be to recommend church tongue

 

Pest Control ripped. Really fun band.
