The real grift is bands like Fall Out Boy who can run their shit at scale but still sell their shirts for $40-$50.
Not so much Hardlore as it is one of their sponsors. Still not great but at least they're selling vintage merch that has some intrinsic value. The guys lined up at fests, missing bands sets, just so they can resell a Sanrio hoodie is what really sucks.
I like Converge! I didn’t say anything about the quality of their music. It’s a harmless rib. They once made a shirt dedicated to each song off of The Dusk in Us, in two separate colorways. That’s a funny thing to do.
ain't nothing wrong with a good gildan heavy cotton or hammer. would rather wear those than softstyle or tultex bs.
You're not getting a Comfort Colors shirt for $30. I do love those shirts, though. Not sure if I've ever seen someone who was already going to buy a shirt change their mind bc it was a Gildan or Alstyle or whatever. Personally, if I have the money and like the design, the blank is whatever.
I saw Bruce Springsteen at Camden Yards in September, and the shirts were $50! Almost seems kinda reasonable. I feel like that's what a shirt from a stadium-sized artist costed pre pandemic.
