Gouge Away Join Deathwish, New Album Out This Year

Rad. Good band. They seem like great people too. It felt like this was just a matter of time away from happening once they toured with Touche last year.

 

Counterparts/Stick To Your Guns/Architects were a lot of fun last night. Surprised to see how popular Architects have gotten. I know they're huge overseas, but when I saw them at Warped a few years ago, there were like 10 people watching. Last night was PACKED for all 3 bands.

 

I’m loving the female vocals.

 

Holy shit I forgot about the Brickhouse! Good times.

 

I don’t know much about this band.

 

I love Sanction. Very surprised by that tbh

 

Pure Noise just repressed their EP and released it today and they have a new music video.

 

they're a bit out of place on pure noise aside from knocked loose. they've gotten a lot of hype on some of the other hardcore discussion forums i post on/lurk so it's good to see them get some recognition. they're also touring with dying fetus and thy art is murder right now where i'm assuming they're playing to an out of place set nightly, but it's a great package for a young band to be on. can't blame them for that!

 

I’ll have to check them out. It’s great how much Knocked Loose have grown and I love their metallic throwback style of hardcore.

 

Sanction >>> Knocked Loose any day

 

I'd love for Jesus Piece to get signed to a bigger label like PN. They do that KL sound but much better imo

 

That EP is really good

 

Well, if it’s true, we will see if Pure Noise can show them the way to get there. I’m definitely interested in checking out that EP.

Playing catch up here, but...

- checking out that Gouge Away record now, I’m very into it

- That Sanction song is pretty interesting. I think the whole “Ferret/Trustkill/Victory” aesthetic is a bit too on-the-nose, but I’m interested in checking out a full release

- Hell to Pay is fucking ILL, I listened to a few songs earlier and it’s cool as hell. Reminds me that I’m psyched for new Jesus Piece

- I’m not particularly a Knocked Loose fan, but if they ditch the over reliance on breakdowns, Risecore production, and explore the death metal influence, I think they could be onto something
