Considering the label they signed to its fine. I like it and if you didn’t think this was coming based upon their last EP you are just plain silly.
Idk about the other dates but… the Houston Show Me The Body show later this month had Zulu added to it
they should really stick to metalcore revival and shit like cross of disbelief. and yes, i'm being a hater.
okay so I finally listened to One Step closer and it gave me WILD flashbacks to listening to Life In Your Way in high school. So I guess I can recommend that to @Leftandleaving if you don't mind very christian hardcore. Connecticut local hardcore is so dead now. I mean it exists but not like it did. LIYW were legends, I was getting into the scene right around their first last show in 08 and remember hearing literal folk tales about that show...one guy donkey kicked somebody's teeth out in the pit or something. And then they came back in 2011 and it was a benefit show for a dying man at a church followed by a full entire service...have to imagine the 08 show had better vibes... I just checked the site of the only local hardcore venue I know of anymore before I shat on the scene and saw a show a tonight and googled the headliner and they literally sound like Streetlight Manifesto. bummer lmfao
New track from Chicago hardcore band Si Dios Quiere featuring Soledad. Full album out in 2 weeks on NMZ:
This (and the $20 tickets) might be enough to make me go if they're on the Dallas show too. Would love to see High Vis again but Show Me The Body just isn't my thing.
Went to see Candy, Jivebomb and Gumm last night. Candy is insane live and it’s probably the most violent show I have ever been to. Jivebomb goes hard live and Gumm is just a lot of fun.
Also, some kid started screaming mid song: “can we please stop with the spin kicks?!” Let’s just say it didn’t go well for him.
I have been out of the loop for a while but also feel like the particular type of hardcore I like, there's rarely any bands making it nowadays so anyone any quick suggestions? I love Have Heart, The Effort (Iconoclasm is an all timer), Champion, Ruiner, Modern Life Is War etc. More on the melodic side of hardcore a lot of the time. I know One Step Closer which is probably the closest 'recent' one.
