Just a particularly violent set. Just wouldnt be surprised if internet hardcore kids lose their minds over it.
I'm glad the zoomer generation has now been exposed to the Bad Luck 13 school of destroying everything in hardcore. Just needs fireworks and dude's mosh indiscriminately with chains. Just keep that idea for a Linkin Park cover in your head next time, and we'll be good.
I support the linkin park cover. We need to stop pretending there isn’t a numetal to hardcore pipeline for people in their late 20s early 30s
As a former member of the nu-metal to metal/hardcore pipeline, I can look fondly at my past, acknowledge the journey and still want to compartmentalize things. Or I might be sundowning. Either way, I'm not a fan.
If that broke out at any show I’m attending and paid good money to go, I would walk away and wait for the next band. Clearly the band is building a reputation.
I'm definitely too old and broke to be putting myself into that type of situation, but I'm glad there's still some kind of lawlessness at shows from time to time
I'm 40 and this was the pipeline for us too Ozzfest 2001 Linkin Park played the main stage and Hatebreed played the side stage. Definitely introduced a lot of nu-metal kids to Hatebreed.
None heaver (fun fact - there's an unwritten rule that venue caps go down a bit when they play- whoop whoop)
it was especially funny bc they’re one of the hosts favorite band of all time and he was like “yeah they should lose” and the other host was adamant they had to win lmao
