I mean, I have seen fights at shows. I come from Cleveland, which was pretty big for hardcore at one point and certainly had a gang problem for a while within that scene. I'm just saying I haven't seen any fights recently at the shows I have gone to. At this point, the hardcore dancing with flying fists and spinning kicks is the most annoying part. It creates the most inefficient use of the floor when the two to four people start doing it.
Last gang stuff I've heard of in Cleveland was that street brawl between SOSF and FSU at now's that's class a couple years back.
Same. I wasn't at that show though haha. That was one of the dumbest incidents though. There are some dumb people in hardcore.
Crowd killing has become more of a thing recently hence the horseshoe shaped crowd. Who wants to stand by the stage if the stage area has now become a target of reckless "moshing?"
I don't really know what genre I'd call this, but I can hear some hardcore in there and you'll generally have good taste anyway
Are TRC still a thing, and if so are they still misogynistic, homophobic dickheads who brag about "punching grebs"?
Not sure if this has been posted before, but new band with Sean from Verse and Jay Maas from Defeater that sounds exactly as good as you’d expect it to:
Glad I got to see Defeater play again with a healthy Derek and Jay still in the band. Now I want to listen Story of a Free Man songs to get Verse with some backups from Jay
