Yeah, Scowl has been getting hate since day one and I think that Taco Bell halftime show reignited some of it.
the industry plant argument is so dumb. just say you don't like them and that their pivot to more mainstream rock is calculated. im sure some people would buck up against that but it wouldn't be unanimously bullshit. the concept of a plant in hardcore is patently absurd lol. who is planting for taco bell bucks?
I like Scowl and totally back what they wrote, agree there's a huge double standard and understand why they'd be moved to have a rant about it, but at the same time I think bands need to stop giving oxygen to what a few mutants on Reddit et al think. More people think Scowl is cool than not, focus on that and don't let the trolls win by giving them the attention they're craving.
