Some guy from some band was saying Harry was bullying an austistic person that worked at a venue they played and using homophobic slurs toward them. The person who posted the tweet then updated it to say he was corrected, and while Harry was being a piece of shit to the ausitic person, it was the drummer of this persons band that he was hurling the slurs at I obviously can’t verify any of it, just wanted to share so people were made aware of it
Kinda sucks the original tweet got deleted because I'm so confused now because Harry's a drummer but if it's not him there's a different band that's harboring someone shitty now.
I mean. I get deleting it if the situation didn't get go down like was portrayed and to avoid turning it into a situation where misinformation can be spread, but...yeah...shit is confusing. Gonna leave it at that unless something else comes out.
I was at the show. There is an autistic kid in our scene who was wearing a football helmet and grabbed the venue mop to help out and mop up a spill in the pit area during the end of Regulate's set. Regulate's vocalist thought that he was trying to be goofy instead of helpful and called him out at the end of the set for being "corny". This obviously upset people and one of the members from a local band confronted Regulate's vocalist immediately after about it. Was a gigantic misunderstanding and Regulate apologized profusely to the kid immediately upon finding out what was really going on.
Thanks for clearing that up. Glad to hear it was all a big misunderstanding and nothing sinister. I hate that Harry is in the bands he’s in, becuase I like both of them to varying degrees lol
Did he call him corny or did he call him a slur? I get that he didn't know he was autistic but still no reason to use hate speech.
Before tweets were deleted last night, it seemed like the drummer from the local band was talking shit to Regulate’s singer for making fun of the austistic kid, and Harry responded by calling local band’s drummer a homophobic slur
Correct, Reg's vocalist did not use a slur on stage. I didn't witness the conversation that happened after so I can't confirm or deny what Harry said
First off, I wouldn't even attend a show that shitty band is playing. Second, they just continue to dig their own grave.
To reiterate what I posted in the ETID thread - okay song, but this song has about a minute of fat they can trim off of it, and it just makes me miss peak TDEP and ETID ever more. I'll definitely give the full album and other singles a listen though.
