Good. Openers were decent. DAZY was good. Militarie Gun was awesome. Sound was a little meh, but Bandido's made up for it with some cheap beers and a good space. Given their current trajectory, I don't think MG will be playing a space that small in RVA again. I had fun.
The Metro in Chicago? I'm not sure Drain's ready for a 1,100 cap yet, but that room is fun as shit without the barrier so it'll definitely be a good time.
New Holy Figures EP with two new tracks and a Jawbox cover. Trying to figure out if I want to drop $17 for a lathe 7"...decisions, decisions.
Honestly I feel like I'm constantly blindsided by just how popular Drain became over the past year. I bet they can pull off those venues
People are complaining that No Class banned crowd killing at the Sunami show last night and trying to make it a big thing on social media Like yall get over it! It was still a great show lmao
It did seem like only like 20% of the crowd was participating which was kind weird to me, like not as crazy as I thought but it was definitely a great show
I have no idea when my next RVA show is gonna be because my schedule is so erratic with two kids under 4 at the moment. Only reason I was able to make the MG show last night was because my mother-in-law is in town and able to help with the kids...so have fun.
Crazy how big some of these rooms are. Saw them open for Terror like a year ago and it was at a 150 cap and wasn't even sold out.
I remember the bad ap net takes of Justice handling some kid jumping on him at a TUI show lol for me, the worst thing is still when a person gets on stage and either: lingers way too long before jumping off (pointing at the crowd to catch them), or trying so hard to grab the mic from the singer. They can’t read the room and they only want it to be about them.
