Im not a huge hardcore fan, but Ive enjoyed the new TUI and Incendiary albums today. Yall like those too?
That Incendiary release is my favorite hardcore album of the year so far. Everything about it is on point.
alright yeah i went back and read this thread, yall are down with those. what else has come out over the last couple years i should check out?
Incendiary is really good. TUI is pretty good too. I and quite a few others always seem to post about new releases here, it's probably easier to just go through the thread
I know that this is a big deal. BURN is a legendary band in the hardcore community. But am I the only one not really moved by this?
Also ETID fans, if you're in here and not subscribed to the thread for them, we're gonna start a bracket style song tournament soon if anyone is interested in participating.
You don't HAVE to like it and that's totally fine but I think it's more about respect at this point and knowing this band (among many others) paved the way for the future of hardcore.
Oh 100%, and I'm a fan of their older material. Really loved them and got into other bands like One King Down, Inside Out, etc when I was a little punk kid with the world against him. Essentially, I guess I just feel like yes the hype is there, but if the music doesn't deliver then doesn't it make at least one other person besides me just wish they'd stay a legendary band? It also makes me a huge hypocrite since I LOVE American Nightmare and every reunion show I go to.
A couple of other threads have held NCAA-style bracket tournaments voting album by album for the best song of each band. The ETID one is gonna start later on so I was letting people know if they're a fan and feel like participating, the post is there explaining it.
it's what people do when they have nothing better to talk about in regards to the band but rank songs :)
Just off the top of my head for stuff that my be related to this thread's interests: -Anything in Power Trip's discography -Anything Full of Hell (though there is a bit of a listening curve to get into them) -Pure Disgust (my fave hardcore record of last year) -Concealed Blade (my second favorite hardcore record of this year that I completely forgot about)
I'm almost 150% positive that Full of Hell doesn't fit in this thread, lol! The rest most definitely.
Full of Hell's roots are in the hardcore scene, and they played an awesome set at TIHC last year. I included them with a caveat because they're a lot different than most of the bands that'll get jocked in this thread. :)
COMPLETE FAILURE stream Fist First Second To None Definitely some Integrity and some black metal influences in there.
I don't think it'll ever become my favourite of theirs, but even the worst Comeback Kid album is really good tbh
