He is literally trying to capture history in the making and they are trying to capitalize on it. Yeah, not a good look.
Yeah four songs in and it rocks. I respect that they fazed out any remaining trace of space rock and opted for fatter riffs.
Emo/shoegaze/alt stuff featuring someone from Simulakra. Since there's not a hardcore adjacent thread, it goes here.
So for the B9 Board alumni, Teddy Boy Greg is currently fighting for Russia in the Ukraine invasion. I cannot think of a better time to utter the classic phrase, FUCK TEDDY BOY GREG
Basically, the dude was relentlessly mad fun of on the B9 Board. We’re taking like people going out of their way in real life to make fun of him, which he honestly deserved for being a bigoted piece of shit. There was once one giant thread about him and about people fucking with him, which he would come in and threaten people, which FUCK YOU MIKE SIMPSON came from. Iirc, one of the reasons The B9 ended was because he sued the label over the harassment. I think the reasons why he got made fun of was because of his tattoos, which are undeniably tacky (particularly the facial tattoos), his obsession with teddy boy culture, and his unapologetic bigotry. Board is Life, B9’s child, continues on the tradition.
Was speaking to Ace from MAD and he was recently interviewed by them and he said they have staff that are on point and know their shit. Killing Pace and Punitive Damage on a big publication? That’s a win in my book.
Yeah, that's a pretty good list. Gridiron is fun but not top 5 of the year and that Terror album is good but probably wouldn't make my top 10.
Alongside something like Soul Glo or Killing Pace it’s understandable but I do always enjoy a straightforward hardcore record and they are the kings of that.
