Pretty much my stance (minus the crude language)

 

The hate on Turnstile is weird. Like if anything, people should be stoked that a modern hardcore band broke into the mainstream as fast as they have.

 

I think he is speaking to a lot of the users on the No Echo Facebook group. There isn’t a day that goes by that someone doesn’t bring them up in a negative way.

 

I'm happy for the band for how popular they're getting; I just don't care for their music at all myself

 

Yeah I don’t really like turnstile but I can’t pretend it’s not really cool to see

 

Finally saw DRAIN last night on an off-date of the tour they're on and it was definitely one of the most insane shows in our city in a while. Very great stuff.

 

Turnstile show was so fun, but people being rude during Snail Mail was not

 

Old Turnstile and Trapped Under Ice are better than new Turnstile to me, but I'm not gonna pretend that I'm not stoked for those boys to be blowing up. They deserve it.

And being dicks during any opener unless it rises to the level of Phil Anselmo doing a white wine sig heil is an amateur move.

 

Turnstile rules and wanna be tough guys just love to hate them becuase they arent some beatdown band that sounds like every other beatdown band.

Most of the hate towards them is definitely because they "arent even hardcore anymore". Not saying thats the only reason but id say its a fair majority of it.

 

It’s gatekeeping and anything that doesn’t fit neatly in a little box gets hate. Honestly it’s the “fans” and not other bands for the most part.
