The Warriors posted what looks like studio photos on their IG stories. I'm hopeful for whatever it is. They've released some of my favorite heavy albums, but booooy their last album was a stinker. The only album I've hidden in my bandcamp collection because it was just too embarrassing.

 

SMTB has been playing this song live for over a year and they finally released it.

 

Bo from Harms Way said they’re in the studio with Yip on a pod recently. Interesting pairing.

The only album I've from this band is War Is Hell and I haven't put this CD since at least 15 years.

Very curious how that’s gonna sound but I dig Yip’s production so it’ll sound dope regardless

 

He's done hardcore/heavy stuff before. Blacklisted, code orange, turnstile, title fight, quicksand, defeater, angel du$t. Seems kind of silly to say he's just a shoegaze producer when he's worked with tons of bands with lots of different styles and sounds.

I had no idea he worked with Code Orange or Blacklisted before, sick!

 

Blacklisted was one of the first LPs he did IIRC

 

and it is somewhat notable that he worked with a lot of those bands on their lightest/least hxc albums haha

like, that quicksand album is closer to failure than slip

Yip is such an anamoly tbh. He's produced some albums that sound great (After the Party) and some that sound like shit (Hello Exile). But he did produce the new Soul Blind album and the tracks from those sessions sound great so far so he's in my plus category at the moment.

 

That soul blind is going to be so good. Not a yip record, but new Excide album also has me very excited too.
