yeah, couldn't listen yet, but seeing CR talking hardcore was an immediate download for me

 

Chris was actually the expert in the group. They mention Axe to Grind and talk a bit about Pat (lol). They also did their research and knew a lot about Gulch and how other members are in Drain and Sunami. I was pretty impressed. They do briefly touch on the current craze of people obsessing over hardcore merch (but honestly it was always a thing, maybe more so now).

 

yeah Chris was on Jeremy Bolm's pod earlier in the year and has a deeper relationship with hardcore than i realized, as a fan of The Watch

 

He lives in LA and had planned on going to S&F but said he had a business trip.

 

yeah i remember him saying on that pod that the drug church was his favorite of the year so far and fiddlehead was his favorite of last year

 

They play clips of Turnstile, Drug Church, Fiddlehead and Scowl. They were going to do God's Hate but chose Fiddlehead instead. It might have been Chris but one of them said Pat is one of his favorite lyricists. I had a good laugh there.

 

“Push your sisters boyfriend down the stairs” is an all time great line to be fair.
