If anyone has a lead on a copy of the first demo from Burning Lord on tape, feel free to send it my way. Something about that one and the new demo just clicked for me...probably up there with the Rabbit demo for my favorite of the year so far.
Shaq likes hardcore. Go figure! https://thenewfury.com/shaquille-oneal-gets-down-with-hardcore-at-a-pain-of-truth-show-watch/
You sure? That video was posted by someone else, he just shared it to his story. I have serious doubts he was actually at the show lol
It would be cool if he was there but even if he shared the video…cool. I’m just sharing what was posted. Shaq is cool in my book.
Judging by Shaq's social media presence, he's definitely just sharing it in a LOL look at this kinda way. Still awesome for POT to have someone with that kind of clout share it though.
If anyone is at the Bane movie screening and the guys field any questions about whether or not the band is gonna get back together… lmk please
I got a few random 7 inches recently. Anyone into any of these bands? Audience of the End The People’s War Yossarian is Drowning
Good podcast from some writers for the NYT and The Watch. Good discussion on why the hardcore scene is so popular right now. It is a good "outside looking in" perspective as two of the writers used to be somewhat involved in the scene and one who had never heard anything from it. They talk a great deal about Sound and Fury and how there is no other community out there with such passion and energy. Things they brought up that I definitely agree have lead to the resurgence include: Turnstile, Hate5Six, a solid group of record labels hustling and promoting bands along with big acts recognizing the talent in hardcore (Scowl opening for Limp Bizkit). There a lot more factors of course but I think they did a pretty good job nailing some good points. Popcast: A Renaissance in American Hardcore Music on Apple Podcasts
