I'm into Hundredth's new stuff. I feel like they were always hit or miss as a hardcore band. It seems like they'll be more consistent with this type of material.
Well I'm excited to check that out now. I always thought they were ok but had potential. Maybe this will be their breakthrough album for me.
Every song sounds the same/cut out of other bands that changed to this sound over the past few years.
I will give Hundredth some credit for at least making some interesting guitar parts in the background along with the standard gaze sound. Live, I'm assuming it will be give the singer as much reverb as you can to pull off that sound.
It's a fun track. Definitely can feel the Turnstile and Angel Dust side seeping in from a musical, as well as aesthetic standpoint
Is there a non-Spotify link for the new TUI song? Edit: Found it. Definitely has a little bit of that fuzz sound from Angel Du$t. Good song though. Cool they are doing new music and shows again.
I was really into Die Knowing as well. I liked the '80s thrash influence. This one seems to continue some of that sound. It overall just sounds fresher than a lot of the down tuned and heavy double bass stuff from recent years. I guess it just depends what you you're used to listening to.
Comeback Kid is an absolute great. A personal favorite of mine, and I'm very happy that losing Profeta didn't break their stride cause Die Knowing was insanely good. Maybe even their best.
So, I like Die Knowing much more than my initial reaction to it. I must have originally listened to it on a bad day or something.
