I've got it made living in cleveland for shows. Got all the great local and national shows. Plus columbus, pittsburgh and Detroit are all pretty close to any tours that don't have a cleveland date.
I do miss this aspect about Cleveland. Really good shows in the city, Columbus, Detroit, and Pitt are all 2-2.5 hours away. Toledo and Akron also get good small club runs too. Buffalo, Cincy, Chicago, Indianapolis, Louisville, Philly, Baltimore, and NY are all an easy road trip as well. Dayton, Youngstown, and Canton sometimes get some good small shows too.
Damn soul Glo and RO are two of the best right now. Would probably see soul Glo though seems like they tour less.
yeah its like 15 miles each way versus 35. the thread is kinda making me wanna go see Soul Glo, which is what my heart tells me too, but laziness is really weighing heavy rn
35 miles isn’t that bad though. I live a couple counties away from Saint Louis and any show in the city is like 45 miles, 49 if you wanna go to Pop’s in Sauget across the river.
oh for sure, I'm super lucky to have tons of venues within 20-30 minutes and tons more within an hour in multiple different directions.
Hate to disappoint everyone, but I wound up going to see Restraining Order. They ruled though. Even covered Bad Brains. Ozone is also soooo good. All the kids were jumping on stage and doing mic grabs and pile ons. Lots of fun.
Metallic Hardcore/Mathcore from Austin featuring members of Drip Fed. Full album comes out in July. @riotspray
Having a hard time deciding if I'm gonna drive an hour tonight on a Monday to go see Gates to Hell and Ballista.
Was wearing my Soul Glo shirt yesterday and got a compliment on it in Beaufort North Carolina of all places.
