At the beginning of the pandemic since the venue was struggling, they sold punch cards for $100 that got you entrance into 10 future shows. I didn't know if that would work for a sold out show or not, but that was my plan. When I got there, they had two separate lines to get in. The first line, dude was scanning tickets. When I got to him, I told him I had the punch card and he just said "bet" and I moved onto the next line, where my card would presumably be punched. Next line was a dude checking IDs and stamping hands. He didn't question whether I'd had my ticket scanned or not and I just kept my mouth shut and got my hand stamped and walked in without a ticket or getting my card punched.
Joe Hardcore continues to maintain that he is a douchebag. Not only continuing to support Section H8 despite the allegations and keep them on TIHC, but going so far as to block people on social media who speak out against it. Big oof.
It fascinates me how much of the hardcore community gives him a free pass despite being a total asshole.
Joe Hardcore has show he's been a piece of shit since his take on the Ghost Ship fire in Oakland years ago. Dude may have a lot of clout, but there are plenty of other fests to go to run by people who aren't sketch as fuck.
The new Terror album is maybe my favorite one since like Keepers of the Faith. Idk, but it's really good.
Gagging Order too. Though I've seen all 3 openers many times, this is my main reasoning for most likely doing R.O. Plus, while I really want to see Soul Glo, that show is twice as far away.
Sounds like the Texas equivalent of heading to Joliet for a show when you live in Chicago. Can't fucking blame you in the slightest.
That’s how I feel about shows in Kansas City, an eight hour round trip to see a band just isn’t that appealing despite the killer tours that go through there or Lawrence.
