Drinking beer while listening to straight edge hardcore has always been a favorite pastime of mine.

 

Man, I wish I could remember the name of this song/video from a SXE band, it’s like they go into this bar, drag the dude out back, and the vocalist scolds him like a bad child. It’s so unintentionally funny.

 

I play only vegan straight edge at my backyard barbecues, but I also only serve meat and beer.

 

Came across this when I was perusing tapes that Deathwish currently has on sale for $3 and was surprised because I had no idea it existed considering its pedigree. Noisy punk/rock/hardcore from members of Planes Mistaken For Stars, Pelican, and Milemarker. Really good shit. It was an instant purchase for me at that price point.

I've seen them like 20 times but I'd love to see Hatebreed in front of a hardcore crowd.

 

while i know this is the first wave announcement, it'd be nice a see a band on here that was formed in the last 20 years other than drain.

 

Yeah especially with how many new bands are popping off right now, pretty dumb to not include more in the first wave for a fest called "THIS IS HARDCORE"

Have complete faith that the full lineup will include lots of cool newer bands though.

I've still never seen Merauder, All Out War, or Misery Signals, so this is already looking super tempting for me

 

One day could be This Was Hardcore with older acts, another could be This is Hardcore with new blood, and then the third day could be Best of Hardcore with the cream of the crop from all generations.

 

Furnace Fest already exists guys.

 

Every time I’ve seen All Out War it was a metal show.

 

Silent Drive is back after 17 years

 

I feel Joe Hardcore secretly doesn’t listen to any hardcore records past like 2005 and every TIH lineup confirms that.
