I honestly can't remember the name of it. It was an upstairs/downstairs bar in the busier/college area. The bar was downstairs and the "venue" was a medium sized room at the top of a straight staircase right at the entrance....if that helps haha.
Sounds like Valentines, but that was in Albany. I grew up and went to school in that area so I saw a bunch of shows all over the capital district.
Going back and visiting some of my old records. I doubt anybody remembers the band Eternal Youth from Syracuse but Red Ranger's (the singer) second band Attitude got pretty big. Really good old school hardcore punk.
Some stuff I loved. I felt like the full length had its moments, but they didn't really have a lot of diversity.
I guess I never really understood the argument of a hardcore record being diverse. Hardcore in itself is pretty straightforward and not overly diverse in general.
But they're really not just a hardcore band. I'm just saying I like it but they were a bit repetitive. I loved the ep though.
What would you call them? I would put under them the melodic hardcore umbrella with bands like Comeback Kid, etc.
They've put out a digital promo, EP, and a split since their original demo. All good stuff. Especially Lotus, the EP they put out at the beginning of last year.
