Probably gonna be an unpopular opinion on this site, but I've been enjoying Angel Du$t's material recently (House EPs + this) more than the new Turnstile. Not to say that both aren't dope because they are.
Love the last Angel Du$t album and the recent EP's too, though I still find it weird that everything from the EP's except the best song ("Lil House") is on this album.
Honestly considering the turnaround time on vinyl at the moment and the pandemic, they've done what a band of their caliber needs to do. They kept themselves in the conversation with some EP releases and have a full-length coming out right as things are opening back up (ignoring the public health aspect). It's no different than what Turnstile did with Turnstile Love Connection before Glow On, just with a shorter lead time and digital only vs. longer lead time and two releases with small cassette runs.
It would surprise me too. They were set to headline a fest here in Dallas but things shut down like 3 days before the show and the booker swears up and down that they are coming back in March 2022. Maybe there will be another final show added to the inital list of "final dates" since only one show is left yet to be announced?? (fingers crossed, because I'm just hoping I get to see them before it's over)
Miiight try to hit up the Richmond date of that if things are looking a bit rosier in terms of COVID. That's a big maybe though.
