I was just reading a Stereogum article about them, Ian seems cool as shit

 

Pre-ordered. First single is great.

Hell yeah, super underrated band.

 

Curious if Pure Noise is just reissuing their old stuff or if we're gonna get new music from them. Either way, it's a time capsule back when I was getting into hardcore in high school because Like Trumpets was one of the first videos I ever saw on the Jasta version of Headbanger's Ball and was hooked instantly.

 

Yeah, definitely went ahead and grabbed the aqua blue and bone variant. Def a gateway hardcore record for a lot of us.

 

I saw the band so many times and their energy was insane. They got on so many good tours because of Jamey. I really hope they are writing new music.

I also feel like Victory didn’t promote them enough because they could have been as big as Comeback Kid.

I’m trying to figure out who they remind me of. They have a melodic hardcore sound with a slight metallic edge. With Honor? Lol

 

gang vocals on that With Honor album are huge

 

What was cool about them is they could appeal to fans of bands like Comeback Kid and Bane and then Shai Hulud and Misery Signals as well. I actually saw them open for SOIA once.

 

That band Ambitions that came after them, really good as well

 

Never Ending Game EP absolutely goes inward

 

Side project of two members from Vein, out on Closed Casket

 

Very edgy

 

Isn't like at least 80% of hardcore a bunch of edgy dudes trying to be tough?

 

I get the sarcasm, just saying it's true for a lot of the genre.

 

This sounds like Gods Hate and Vein had a baby.

most genres involve projection of some form or another. that isn’t unique to hardcore.
