I could actually see them on RFC or Revelation. But Pure Noise would get them far better tours and exposure.
Along the same lines. These guys were featured on No ECHO and are from my neck of the woods. FFO Early StD, Charmer, B&C, Daytrader.
Not hardcore per se but this Young Guv track with James Matthew (guitarist from No Warning) is one of my favorite songs this year
Just came across this release from last year on Friday and immediately copped the 7-inch for it. 80s style HC featuring members of Look Back and Laugh and Tear It Up.
Saw a local date for Strike Anywhere pop up here moments later and was like WTF. Probably can't make it because it's the day before The Menzingers in Richmond, but it's still a good show.
Only time I've seen strike anywhere was on that Four Year Strong tour 10+ years ago, they felt wildly out of place but were still good. Would like to catch them again.
Last copies of the debut self-titled LP by San Diego d-beat thrashers Therapy on limited one-sided 12" black vinyl. Per Maximum Rock n Roll: "Fucking huge sounding, super energetic D-beat-based hardcore, what the fuck is not to like here? Hard to decide what to highlight first, the sick vocals or the crazed drumming or the raw riffage. While there’s a bit more of an experimental spirit in the margins here compared to their earlier releases, confined to some trippy song intros and breaks, please rest assured that the backbone of pure fucking hardcore remains firmly intact. San Diego’s THERAPY are exemplary of the DIY spirit in 2020: performing a ton, putting on gigs, and always hustling for both their band and their scene. It is a tremendous comfort to me that while over-hyped mediocre trend bands will come and go, there will always be bands like THERAPY keeping it real where it counts. Mandatory for fans of the style and for hardcore lifers in general."
