^That plus the new Cell Rot EP. It's a good day for fast hardcore.

There's a new Colonial Wound song that premiered at the beginning of today's episode of Axe to Grind. It sounds amazing.

This has members of Sunami and Extinguish. Sammy from Drain has a guest on it and their goal is to channel 90’s metallic hardcore.

Hardcore shows need to come back so badly, if only because I feel like the Axe to Grind podcast has diminished quite a bit in quality during the pandemic. Two weeks in a row where they start the show picking apart the dynamics of some random rap podcast--even their 90s deep dive today seemed uninspired. It makes me sad because it used to be my favorite podcast, but I guess it shouldn't be a surprise that they struggle to come up with stuff to talk about when the scene is inactive to a certain extent.

Side note: That Colonial Wound track is killer.

That’s why the 185 Miles South podcast trumps it for me. They always find a way to keep it interesting.

Gonna agree to disagree with you. Their banter and Patrick's shenanigans are part of the reason I'm still listening on a weekly basis. It works with my need to keep things varied.

I get that their shtick isn't necessarily everyone's cup of tea, but it works for me.

If Patrick left the show it wouldn’t be what it is for sure.
