Hardcore Fest Head Calls Oakland Fire 'Blessing in Disguise' fuckkkk this this dude and this is hardcore is a plague on society
What a fucking scumbag. I love that label and if I lived in Oakland I very well could've ended up there.
Joe Hardcore did address his comment, and publicly apologized and acknowledged how hurtful his comment was. TIH is a great festival that brings many together and I don't think the fest, which every year is successful and is a positive stage shared by a lot of great acts, should be condemned because of his dickhead remarks.
" Sometimes you get bad information. Driving to work before the sun came up today, I heard a story reported as underage ravers dying in a fire. I was unaware that friends of mine lost friends in the fire. I made a Facebook comment on a friend’s page that has gotten quite a few people upset. I’m sorry to my friends who’ve lost and feelings I’ve hurt. Sometimes you write something crass, probably over the line and far from a well thought out response, but never intended on being taken so literal or meaning to wound good friends going through a bad time. I’m now fully aware of the reality to which every single word written can be used against you literally, by people upset by them. I’m sure this will be some viral madness. I’ll bow my head and drop to my knees and apologize to my real friends, but I owe nothing to those who will use this against me, or those who will walk away out of fear of disassociation. " what a shitty response lol
I saw Expire for the last ever time last night and now I'm sad Also, Knocked Loose supported and they were even worse than I imagined they'd be lol.
Say what?! You like a rip off band like Expire, but think Knocked Loose are bad? I saw them at Souled Out fest and was surprised not only at how good/heavy they sounded live, but even the vocalist held up and sounded well. The crowd was really into them, it was all around one of the best sets of the day.
I enjoy Expire for what they are. Knocked Loose is boring as fuck beatdown... I guess I'll just never understand what people see in them.
I enjoy their vocalist's delivery and misanthropic lyrics quite a bit. I like that they're derived from a sound that was bigger in the mid 2000's between metal/hardcore, but still sound like their own thing. I definitely get why many find them unapproachable, but I thoroughly dislike when I hear bands that are big now playing songs that sound cookie cut out of some of my favorites.
Harm's Way signed with Metal Blade Records. It seems like it'll be great exposure for them but I hope it doesn't change their sound.
Yeah I'm cool with them trying to add those elements, but it just felt that the songs....weren't as good
I guess I'm in the minority considering I thought Rust was killer. I think it's a good mix between their older material and some industrial elements.
I saw expire with rotting out before I had heard them before and loved them. I don't listen to hardcore often but they're one of my go tos along with backtrack
Joe Hardcore is an asshole. Never been to TIHC - looks kinda tiring...probably would go if it were a lil closer. Damaged City Fest is gonna be tight this year!! The vocalists delivery makes that band completely. I don't think they've played Maryland before - but ETID, them, Harms Way and Eternal Sleep are coming close enough
