These two records from Flatspot this year are awesome!

 

Had trouble getting into the End It record, but that Kharma record is hard

 

what's that vocal style called that Kharma uses

 

Im trying to think who he reminds me of. It's more of a strained higher pitch (not as high as Walter). But there are also layered gang vocals.

 

Listening to End it now. First thought is he reminds me of the singer from Absolution

 

yeah it's the kinda restrained under the breath thing that I'm talking about - definitely a bunch of vocalists that do it, but I can't name a single one at the moment

 

Chaka Malik comes to mind as well (I'm still listening to End it)

 

The vocals take some getting used to but it’s really good.

 

Finally got to this. REALLY good. Tom from A2G, Indecision and Most Precious Blood is on the song Drifter.

Some Get Up Kids, Saves the Day and The Movielife vibes. Very different for Triple B but good find on their end.

HA I have never heard of him (MBA - really?)

 

I know he gets flack (and maybe rightfully so, but I'm not really sure why, other than being another YT personality that may or may not be quite as knowledgeable about certain things as they claim to be) but Hatebreed is a top 10 ever band for me, and that's one of his better videos. So...

 

That's all that matters

I wonder if he what he said is true and Satisfaction is the highest selling hardcore record of all time...

I'd have to go back and rewatch, but I think he said "fastest" selling hardcore record of all time. I don't know what measure he's using, but I'd assume it has to do with the number of records it sold in the first week/month/year

My honest beef with him is that he wants to write off black metal as this goofy ass thing when he’s basically an old hardcore kid with no room to talk. He puts out cool stuff but he’s definitely a dork.

 

Little thing but it looks like Turnstile is preparing a new release judging by the new avatar on their socials.
