I think the current metalcore revival is extremely hit or miss (mostly miss), but I really enjoyed the Sanction record from last year.
I think it’s more “Metallic hardcore” than Metalcore that’s coming back around. I agree that its hit or miss but it’s great to hear the early Trustkill and Ferret Records sound again. With that being said, Holy Roar is killing it.
yeah I mean I think it's all semantics (I'm just killing time at the office) but stuff like Sanction, Vatican, Orthodox, etc feels distinctly metalcore to me. Metallic hardcore is generally cool with me
Just checked out Orthodox. They remind me of a hardcore version of Cane Hill. I’ll listen to the full album.
could never get as much into cloakroom, but they've good live. listening to them makes me miss native lol.
