Pat is a genius. SDF/DC are all locals to me I grew up going to shows with. SDF is one hell of an original sound and for the most part I say the same of DC. Neither I spin too much recently, but a lot of respect for those guys.
Agreed. I've fallen out of hardcore quite a bit but I still listen to Code Orange, Blacklisted, and Iron Age regularly.
Bad Brains got nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Doubtful they'll get in but that's cool.
I had never really listened to them much, I remember The Needle Drop liking Rohnert Park and trying it out. Wasn't into at the time, but that was six years ago. He-god-Has Favovred our Undertakings came on my Spotify playlist a couple of weeks ago, that song is rad as hell
Rohnert Park is amazing Still Nothing Moves You is a close second even some of their new Joy Division worship stuff is cool by me but yeah start with those two
Caught Incendiary last night and they played anew song that sounds really fucking good. Can't wait for the new LP
just wanted to thank @Jake W for introducing Counterparts to me (by mentioning them in the best records of the decade thread) - Diference Between Hell and Home is an immense record
also, as expected, Ceremony was insane last night - they played stuff from all their albums and show was amazing they are playing another show in Brooklyn tonight - go catch them if you didn't have a chance yesterday!
So weird to see them blow up, used to play shows with them when I was like fifteen and they were nobodies haha
