If you are like me and can't get enough of the Harms Way videos, there is a FB page called, "Harms Way running man to various songs" that is worth checking out.
this is probably for newer hardcore but i've been in an 80s hardcore rabbit hole and i just wanted to talk about how the Faith/Void Split is still one of the best things 80s hardcore had to offer. Especially the Void side, i love how fuckin thrashy it is and it's crazy sad that's basically all they ever put out :/ there's a lot of the seminal og stuff that feels like it doesn't hold up in a lot of ways, but the chaos of the Void side makes it way more timeless imo
That’s rather charitable to call Knocked Loose the best American hardcore band right now. Like I dig them but come on
Two of the first three bands on the list are C.H.E.W. and Bandit so I'm alright with it. edit: This is now a C.H.E.W. and Bandit appreciation post.
Don't know why people get so mad about those Kerrang lists, at least they're posting about good music now and not just all time low constantly
Was the sent the promo for this: Really excited to sit down with it. Members of Employed to Serve and Renounced playing hardcore punk. Officially comes out in July.
Yeah I’m not very interested in skramz so a lot of the big name publications doing lists about hardcore generally wash over me
I'm not really into skramz either, but SYSC and a few others are doing pretty cool things right now. That Kerrang list obviously has its flaws, but at least it's getting some more eyes on some of these bands. Most of the bands on that list that I've heard of, I like.
There's only two bands on that list that I've never listened to before, I think I spend too much time listening to music/on the internet lol
The day they come up with a better title than “skramz” I might start liking it more. This might be the first thing in that realm I’ve really enjoyed in a while:
