I had never heard of them loved what I listened to rn crazy synth/organ - loves the lofi production! thx!
Dude Ink & Dagger are minor legends. They did a reunion with Geoff Rickley on vocals about 5 years ago it was sick.
Damn trying to find some new hardcore because I don't listen to as much I want to and I gave that Turnstile another chance. Damnnnn that's nice
It's so overhyped and no matter how much I listen to it I can't understand what's supposedly so great about it.
If you're not into then it might just be a bit too on the nose for you when it comes to hardcore/metalcore. I personally love the vocals, lyrics and all more than anything, and think they made beatdown parts fun again. Album doesn't blow me away but I am definitely a fan.
I don't enjoy it and some people do and that's fine, what really puzzles me is some of the comments I've seen about it. Some guy I know that "doesn't listen to modern hardcore because it's all shit" absolutely loves it and I saw a review somewhere saying that "they're pushing genre boundaries" or something like that. So I kept going back to it to see if it suddenly clicked with me but it didn't... Just sounds like generic beatdown to me(instrumentally, not vocally).
Yeah I don't think it's groundbreaking. I think unfortunately, a lot of people casually liking something and them garnering a decent fan base in a short amount of time makes people perceive that attention as something bigger. I don't necessarily think they're generic, I can certainly decipher them apart from many hardcore bands that sound much too similar right now, but I see your point.
I keep seeing that name and I'm getting the vibe that it sounds like Expire/STYG/Stray from the Path, which is not my shit at all
I saw them open that tour without any prior listening and I was a bit puzzled at their crowd response. The music didn't seem too interesting to me and the tough guy vibes of the guitarist were pretty amusing. I still need to listen to their recorded output though.
I've loved a lot of hardcore releases this year so I'm not even that disappointed that I don't like it tbh.
just wanted to express that I am ready for the new Code Orange album yep announce a release date already
I'm into Knocked Loose but I totally get why people don't like it. It's kinda stupid, but like, its makes me MOVE
Yeah I mean I wasn't trying to say they were, I worded my post poorly. Idk I group all those bands together, Backtrack too. I'm just not into any of them
