Since we’re strolling down memory lane, I miss Verse a whole lot.

Are edge bands still a thing? I can’t think of any recent notable bands doing that.

  5. I was just about to mention those Giver tracks reminded me of Verse. I should get into Blacklisted too

There are definitely good ones. Listen to One Step Closer

Blacklisted has a stronger discography than AN but I would take the first twin AN EPs + Background Music over anything by Blacklisted

    New AN was fine

Speaking of Straight Edge. Ex Betrayed, Champion, etc.

    Album out later this year.

Maybe it's always been like this, I dunno, and I'm not judging anyone one way or another, but it seems like a lot of the younger kids (who aren't old enough to drink yet) are claiming edge around here now. In fact, it seems like ALL the underage kids at shows around here are edge.

Yeah I have some friends who are edge and they are my age (23-25) and they’ve been at it for years and years but the people who are vocal as hell about it and then drop it a year after turning 21 are the best. It’s kind of silly but you know.

Yeah, I mean, it's cool to see kids who have made a choice and are passionate about it even if that changes. I'm not into shaming people for breaking edge, but I've never claimed it myself, so I can see how people that have stuck to it for years might feel different.

    Not outlandish.
Tons. True Love, Ecostrike, one step closer, trail of lies.

I honestly feel like there are more edge bands now than there have been in the last 5-10 years, but maybe I'm just paying more attention now.

Listening to Bad Seed’s 6 tracks right now. They were edge right? So good, I wish they’d kept this going but Title Fight was obviously a good reason for hiatus.

that whole area was producing such good shit mid to late 2000's. Title Fight, Cold World, War Hungry, undoubtedly missing a ton of bands

Boston Strangler was a thing for a minute. Although that was a bit later I guess.
