few months old so idk if anyone posted it but this Seed of Pain/Maniac split is SO good, especially the Seed of Pain side
Seeing a hardcore show at Thalia Hall in Chicago would be weird, but I guess that's the right venue for American Nightmare at this point. At least they'll sound amazing.
A bit too big. It's a really nice 1500 cap venue with a barrier above a Michelin Star rated restaurant that has a classic art-deco theater look out of the first half of the 20th century. It's just a weird place for them. I saw Neurosis and Sunn O))) play there, but the thought of any hardcore band playing there is just a strange image.
I do agree but I think in 2019 hardcore is probably the biggest and most successful it’s ever been. Look at the response to Have Heart’s reunion. Also, AN did release a new album last year so they are fresh in people’s mind so that could also play a big part as well.
Definitely weird considering that Bottom Lounge show in 2018 for the last record didn’t sell out either. Hearing them in Thalia will be a treat for those going. I really do dig that room.
