I went on a date with someone when I was in grad school whose favorite hardcore band was I Set My Friends on Fire. Fill in the blanks from there.
Has anyone seen Glitterer live? I thought the record was decent but I'm watching him open for Ceremony right now, and the live show is... not what I expected?
Yeah its just him and a laptop. On one hand I feel like a backing band would definitely sound better but at the same time him being exposed up there by himself is oddly mesmerizing.
I watched videos of it too and felt it didn’t work live, and made me about as uncomfortable as I felt watching Wicca phase recordings.
I saw him in a VFW last month and it was fun, but I feel like it’d be different on a big stage. I think his enthusiasm and energy helps him pull it off better than Wicca Phase
It's definitely also the fact that the music just isn't my thing. No doubt it's probably a better show for those that do like that style.
This split from Invoke and MH Chaos is cool. Invoke is dumb heavy without being corny, and MH Chaos is really cool, definitely going to dig into them more New EP from Result of Choice is tight, Advanced Perspective becoming quite the label to watch More metal than hardcore, but High Command has an album dropping this Friday on Southern Lord. Features members of Verse and Mountain Man Oh and new Candy joint is good, excited to hear that a new LP is coming soonish
