Higher Power on Roadrunner? Interesting

 

Ok found a clip and the chorus sounds like Basement hmmm

Almost a five month rollout haha excellent

Song is alright. I think it would have sounded better with Soul Structure’s production

 

I like the song apart from the chorus

 

i'd probably put money on higher power shifting towards more clean vocals going forward if this takes off. song's alright. has some deftones-ish vibes to it at times to me.

I saw it on the hardcore subreddit, crazy someone actually made that. It was cool seeing people defending and appreciating L Shaped Man in the comments tho

 

Their last 3 albums are all pretty darn good.

music elitists are the worst. let bands make the art they want to make. there's plenty of other bands doing what ceremony used to do

 

There’s always gonna be homers who want their favorite bands to stay the same forever. Hell, look at Thrice fans

 

I'm an early Thrice fan that FULLY embraces their evolution.

 

I liked Thrice until their last two albums.

 

Who made that Ceremony hat and how can we get them literally tarred and feathered

 

Why can’t Thrice just make another album with every song sounding like Deadbolt?

 

I just treat post-punk Ceremony as another band. The thing is, I like the genre, but I don't think they're particularly good at it. Like, they went from a top-tier hardcore band with extremely influential records to an average post-punk band. Personal opinions and all that, of course.

By the way, this came out today and it's really good if you're into "modern" Youth Crew at all (think The First Step, Mindset, Line of Sight etc).

 

Andrew from Comeback Kid's another band is putting out their first album in ten years in a few weeks! Didn't see that coming, I'll have to revisit the EP they did a few years back.
