For Kerrang, that's better than I was expecting. I have some issues with where certain bands were placed, but that's just personal nitpicking.

 

Any list that has Torso and Amygdala is at least decent to me

 

The top 10 are not surprising but it’s funny they included bands like SYSC and State Faults.

 

there's also a number of grind bands on there i had to double take on...like transient and cloud rat are great bands, but i definitely wouldn't include them on any list of hardcore bands.

 

4/5 of the top 5 are metalcore bands so it's definitely more hardcore adjacent bands

 

Angel Du$t being on there, especially in the top 10, is odd given that their most recent album is basically power pop.

 

Yeah, it’s essentially not a very good list in terms of “hardcore”. Hardcore adjacent? Yes

 

My taste does not align with Kerrang.


Also Vein is way more nu-metal than anything else.

 

When genres continued to be misused so often, it becomes something believed by the masses as accurate haha.

 

Shit. I'm just happy they gave Bandit a mention at 48. Shout out to Adidas powerviolence.
