What was the original price for the Friday show? When I’ve checked they’ve been around $40 plus fees, which feels high. I know the Saturday show was $25.
I just checked and I paid $34.25 a piece with all fees and everything from Ticketfly. They're around $50 a piece right now with all fees through StubHub, so yeah it's a little bit more, but $15 extra on a sold out show didn't seem too crazy, but if you're on a budget, people are basically giving away Saturday tickets.
The Holiday Inn Express about a 10 minute walk from the Palladium. I thought about staying outside of Worcester and driving in for the show, but all of the hotels in the area were either terribly rated or overpriced. Like you, AirBNB didn't produce any results so I just bit the bullet and went with the hotel. Splitting it with my brother eases the financial cost a bit.
@Jake W the brief conversation we had yesterday put me in a blackened hardcore mood. May as well start posting in this thread. Here are some blackened hardcore/crust/math/powerviolence etc bands.
Had a chance to check out some of bands posted and I enjoyed them for the most part: The Bone Awl album just sounded like one long song to me and I lost interest pretty quickly. The Raspberry Bulbs album is very cool and I wouldn't say it's so much hardcore but post punk. I can almost picture them dressed up as skeletons/Ghouls and remind me a lot of Ghost for some reason. Iskra is more in line with hardcore and reminds me a lot of Integrity or Ringworm at times. Plebeian Grandstand felt very metal to me and I don't really get the hardcore but it was still really good. I think Iskra and PG would be very well appreciated in the Metal thread.
