also do you have an amp you can test out? That’ll help you know if it’s the guitar or something wrong with how you have things set up on the computer
Whether you're a big Nirvana fan or not, this dude's channel and his attention to detail is pretty awesome! https://www.youtube.com/@NirvanaGuitars/videos
Thanks for all the feedback! Yes... I fired up my Orange, no problems there. I'm messing around with the compressor. Fixed it a bit, but I feel the hiss is more prevalent than it was in the past.
sad // recovering from acoustic injury rn (hyperacusis mainly, not hearing damage) buuuut my sweetwater rep snagged me one of the pre-lawsuit centaur pedals, so lol. i'm excited. for the meme value
I want to modify a Squier Sonic Mustang into a Bronco with the Cobain Jaguar pickups. Should I go pink or black?
nice bass there! just learn a bunch of Cure lines, stuff like the Lovecats and Fascination Street. So fun. I'll have to show off and explain my guitar/recording rig later.
HELL YEAH TEAM JAZZMASTER FOREVER. I have two, a 2007 AVRI and a 97 MIJ model that I hotrodded. I still want another to put a real humbucker in, but nothing beats a Jazzmaster for me.
hope it's okay for me to post here selling my beloved hiwatt custom if anyone's interested https://reverb.com/item/92449107-hiwatt-custom-20-1x10-tube-combo-amp-black
There's such a complete lack of reporting around it. I don't think there's even been any sort of official announcement from G&L. The Fender (or FMIC) stuff seems to just be the same couple of forum posts being repeated in different places. I hope they can get up and running at the same site and continue making the American stuff, but that feels so massively unlikely now. If Fender buys them up, it will almost certainly be to get the Fender name and workshop back. Obviously, they're extremely good at segmenting their own market, so maybe G&L could be squeezed in somewhere. I'd rather see American G&Ls (with their hardware, pickups and neck profile remaining) roll out over that bland Professional Classic series they just flopped out. I wouldn't be shocked if they did something in the vein of the American Ultra series, but put in the G&L hardware and pickups and branded that as being the last of Leo's innovations being brought back to his original shapes. But I think the more likely thing is that they're going to be dead and buried now, which sucks for the folks who worked there and sucks for the guitar buying public to have lost a very well made and interesting choice. It's staggering how shittily marketed they were.
Posts from employees said they were informed they won't be working anymore right? Yeah at this point I don't think Fender is buying. What a disaster
Fuck Mother Mary straps. Used genAI to make stupid promo images for their merch and are going to the mat defending their dumb decision.
