I've heard people suggest SGs are heavy before and I wonder, in comparison to what? It's quite a small body and it's relatively thin as well (compared to pretty much any other classic design). Never found my studio heavy at all, but then the only guitar I've ever owned which the weight was notable was a non weight relieved LP Classic. I know I've been wearing that after 3 hours in a practice space. Everything else I've ever owned has been fine.

I definitely will. I bought all the parts for it like 9 years ago and then quickly learned that I had no clue what I was doing. My friend just opened his own guitar shop so I'll most likely end up paying him to finish it for me.
