I’ve stripped out my strap lock screws on a couple guitars before. I have a thin sheet of balsa wood that I just cut into little strips to fill the hole, then drive the screw in. Pretty similar to the matchstick idea above. I haven’t even needed wood glue on mine as long as there’s enough pieces of wood in there for the screw to make a tight fit.
Interesting video! Thanks for posting. I have a couple Behringer pedals. I like getting Behringers to try out before I dive into spending $100+ on a similar (better) effects pedal. I still have a Behringer Chorus pedal on my board though. Although I don't even use it. I guess that's why I haven't replaced it with something else yet.
I mean, a new one is $25 on Amazon (and with Prime.) If I sold you mine, it'd probably cost just about the same with shipping included, haha.
Ahhh Behringer pedals. The cheap, malformed cousin of Boss. It's funny how things have moved on since those days. I think for a similar price to what Behringer cost then, you'd get a Tone City pedal now, which are far better. But then, when I was a teen, you pretty much had a choice of Boss and EHX. Everything else was too expensive.
if i want a boss pedal, i’ll shell out for the waza craft editions. some of the behringer circuits are actually better than the boss/ibanez counterparts, they’re just put in shitty plastic lol.
I asked my cousin who's a guitar tech about this and he said the same thing albeit with toothpick instead, which I think would probably work better. Also sounds good. Thanks all!
Tried out a Schecter Reaper on Friday. Once again, I played a Schecter which I can't find any fault with, yet it does absolutely nothing for me. I just don't understand.
I had an older gold top that I loved! As someone who normally plays Fenders, though, it was very heavy. Edit: I had to sell it for financial reasons, otherwise I'd still have it!
Has anyone played a Fender 68 Deluxe Reverb RI? Thoughts on it? Fender '68 Custom Deluxe Reverb 22W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp with Celestion G12V-70 Speaker
Everybody likes Deluxe Reverbs, they rule. The verb and tremolo is really good. I have a ‘65 Princeton. Never personally played a ‘68 Fender. The ‘65 stuff is the ‘blackface sound’ the ‘68 stuff is the ‘brownface sound’. Both are renowned but I believe the blackface fender amps seem to be the most sought after. They have a distinct sound difference and you may find it helpful to research the difference if you are in the market. Theres a bit of a culture/genre difference going on between the two.
This is helpful, I'll look into both of them. At home I dabble in anything from jazz to blues but the band I'm in plays indie pop stuff similar to the 1975. A lot of palm muted guitar riffs and 80's style chord progressions. Currently I'm using an AC15 but don't care for the way lead/solo parts come across so I'm in the market for a new amp. Came across the Deluxe Reverbs and was digging what I heard through some Youtube vids.
no but if your style is basically 1975 styled indie pop, both their guitarists use those amps and its a big part of their sound haha
