If they market it with a new name, people will just mock it for being a Jaguar with humbuckers. Same shape, same scale, different hardware. It's a still a jag. Personally, I'm not fussy on the stop tail offsets either. Same when they do the HH Jazzmasters. If I wanted a HH solid body, those aren't what I'd be looking for.
yeah idk its more than a little odd to me. obviously if you want the sound of a jaguar youre not going to get any of it with that guitar at all. or the look, while were at it, imo. and Fender now has their “alternate reality” and “parallel universe” line of guitars. Im really not sure why that model doesnt completely belong there.
I can see that argument. I don't think it falls in that aesthetic though, because it's still a Jag which has a different hardware configuration. The parallel/alternate stuff seems to be just a way to take recognisable features of existing models and mash them together. I'd rather they actually try making a new model, rather than this mishmash bollocks they've come up with. Fender (and Gibson suffer this too) are kind of stuffed in that people expect certain things of them. They just can't seem to release genuinely new guitars or shapes because people don't buy them. Fender tried doing a modern offset with the Toronado and it just didn't stick, so instead you get HH Jags/Jazz, because people will buy those names. Gibson get it in the ear whatever they do. Guitar players are fickle.
Anyone have much experience of fitting Graphtech saddles to a TOM style bridge? If so, did you find they made much difference? I'm pondering putting Graphtech saddles in my LP Classic, as I really don't like the steel lumps they usually put in the ABR bridges. They're not even notched, so eventually the strings chew them up and give you all sorts of tuning hilarity.
truly wild how the market for the EQD black ash fuzzes has gotten. i'd like one bc jamie's paper in oil capacitors sound great, but fuck, nearly 300 for a fuzz lol
I really should've bought one of those when they were first released. Kinda kicking myself for passing it up ha.
Anyone know anything about the Fender Classic Player Jaguar? Goes for $850 new..I can trade an ESP guitar I dont use for it. I wanna get a Jag, any thoughts?
that things gonna have all the old school specs classic jaguar through and through and the Classic Player line is very well recieved Id go for it only thing you may need to do to it is get a new bridge piece
thats awesome, thanks for the feedback I posted in here last week about the cheaper version of the Jag but decided to hold off.
I got a Mooer Radar in the mail yesterday. My guitar isn't home with me so I won't be able to mess with it until tomorrow, but I'm excited to see if it helps make my bedroom recordings sound better!
you can find classic players even cheaper than that on reverb. i’d go for that and spend the extra cash on a mastery bridge.
Yeah Im trading an ESP LTD EC 1000 for that Jag. He asked if I could throw in an extra $60 so I'm going to pull the trigger. Then I can look into making any updates
really wanna hear your thoughts on this I just got an Iconoclast and am using it with the Joyo pre amps AC Tone and American Sound
so i was installing some of those schaller strap locks on my les paul and while screwing in the top strap button by the neck i managed to make the hole a bit too big for the screw to really lock in place, so does anyone know any diy ways to fix this, or should i just let a professional handle it?
