Yeah they replace the buttons. If you get black it really doesn't distract.

haha well yeah thats my initial attraction. The lead guitarist of the 1975 uses a couple vintage Jags which was what really drew me to them. But the vintage ones go for like 3k so thats not happening lol.

Fano JM6 Standard - P90

I have a jazzmaster with p90s and it sounds awesome.

 

Yeah I love those Fanos but they're outta my budget. My main guitar is an American Tele but I'm looking for something to compliment that in the under $600 range.

I also love the look of the Jazzmasters but see most go for 1k or so

 

For sure. I think that Jag you found is a pretty good deal.

 

Yeah, def thinking the same. Love the looks and can always upgrade down the road too with better pickups

 

hard tail jag with humbuckers is kind of a complete travesty actually

 

After owning a Bigsby for a little while I kinda want every guitar to have a hard tail

jaguars are supposed to have floating bridges! thats egregious for fender to trample on that and call it “special edition”

and not those pickups

 

assuming thats why the one I posted is $600 and the others go for roughly a grand?

 

yeah that guitar is quite simply not a jaguar

doesnt mean it cant be a good guitar its just not a jaguar

 

I've never played a Jaguar so it's hard for me to contribute on it. I like the Pau Ferro fretboard though and think the guitar LOOKS gorgeous. But based on the description I don't think I would personally like the sound.

 

I would still call it a jaguar. It's a jaguar with humbuckers lol. If you're into the offset body shape but want humbuckers I think it's a good guitar.

 

Yeah I think I might be more intrigued by the looks at this point. I was thinking about buying and upgrading the pickups.
