I’m a squier custom man myself, and then I just get some sick Seymour Duncan pickups to give them an even better sound.
Yeah, when I shop for guitars, I try and find something that's cool looking and close enough to the configuration that I want, and then customize it to meet my needs. I don't typically care for stock components - sans the Ibanez Artcore humbucker pickups.
What are your takes on yellow-ish vintage glosses on fretboards? From an aesthetic standpoint, I've never really been a fan.
That's a Squier vintage modified 70's strat. They did the same thing to the tele deluxe and classic vibe 50's strat. I dunno. Just something I always thought looked a little tacky.
Think the issue there is that it's an attempt at artificially making it look aged on a fairly budget instrument. I've played some older guitars where the neck has discoloured and you just kind of accept it. On a new guitar, not for me. Just going to quote you to congratulate you on the Fjort avatar.
Exactly. It's only cool if it's obtained that color with age. Instead of spending money putting that gloss on there, invest it in making sure the pots and switches are all slightly better quality hah
Not 100% sure. I would guess Spotify discover, but it was a long time ago I heard of them. I've been quite into a couple of Nordic hardcore bands (Social Suicide and Kvalertak) and I guess that somehow mutated into central European hardcore? I remember Fjort immediately stood out though.
Haha seems Spotify discover actually works. For me people kept telling me my band sounds like fjørt so I had to check them out. I fell in love right away but I disagree with the sentiment haha
Yeah. Like, a lot of the Mexican fender stuff have necks which are very similar. But the hardware changes. The cheaper end uses saddles and nuts which are pretty piss poor. I replaced mine on a 13 year old guitar and the difference was unreal.
I mean, it might literally be just making them down to a price. Just seems unlikely that they can make a nice neck and then fit a nut made of cheese.
anyone wanna buy: shallow water dl4 neunaber wet mono EHX analog chorus (the old school Cobain one) Boss TU-3 TC Shaker Mini ??

I think I am going to start shopping for a looper pedal. Been playing my new telecaster a ton and man I am in love with this thing.
Can you guys make comment on my gear? I'm not sure what I should improve. Guitar - Epiphone SG Special VE Cherry Burst, Squier Bullet Strat White Amps - Line 6 V 120Watts for clean, Marshall MG100HDFX head for dirty Pedals - Behringer Tuner Pedal, Behringer Fuzz, Behringer Reverb, Boss DS1 Distortion pedal thanks guys. Really stoked on my sound. @monokit
I'd add a nice delay, my favorite is the OBNE Black Fountain and a Walrus Julia Chorus. (or the Reflektor by OBNE)
