i don't have my guitar with me to play around but I'm pretty sure all i do is apply the plug-in and turn off any other effects
don't think i have in the past. can i PM you or something next week to talk about it when I've got more time and my guitar? it's actually been a while since i've tried it so i wanna re-acquaint myself with everything.
Re: octave pedals, I have a fuzz super hornet pedal that is p sick. Gives cool Dinosaur Jr vibes, though I haven't been able to use it bc no extra cords to connect it to the amp
So I just realized the reverb pedals I have are all spacey, big sounding post-rock oriented verbs and I’m looking to get one that’s more of a simple, vintage sounding spring or room verb that’ll work with more of a blues rock/garage rock feel. Any recommendations?
Nice! I kinda had my eye on that pedal before. I wonder how it compares to the Boss Harmonist. They seem to have a lot of the same features.
I wouldnt be able to give you insight on that unfortunately. Id assume it tracks better, has more scales and harmonies with toneprint, and its got a delay that gives alot of sweeeet possibilities. Got it on sale on Prymaxe for only $100
I have an MXR reverb pedal, i can’t remember the model but it comes with 6 different modes including spring and room. It sounds pretty good to my ears. You can definitely dial in some big reverb sounds or more vintage tones as well.
Anybody here use a compressor pedal? I’m in the market for one and just wanted to see what everybody had. I’m currently looking at The Warden(EarthQuaker) or Hypergravity(TC)
I know a few people that have the warden and love it. Personally I'm waiting to get my hands on a walrus audio deep six.
I just use a Dyna Comp currently bc Ill always love that sound But Ive been super interested in the EHX Platform lately.Look how much amazing stuff it can do.
I forgot about the deep six. Add that one to the list. This is a very interesting pedal. The swell knob is awesome. I’ll have to keep an eye on that one.
thanks for the rec's guys! Nice, that's one I was thinking about. I played through one at Guitar Center a while back and remember liking it a lot. Gonna have to test drive it again sometime soon. Ohhh yeah I'd almost forgotten about that one. I've heard good things when that one first came out so I'll check that one out too. I used to have a Wampler compressor and while it probably was a good pedal I didn't really "need" it and ended up selling it. I have a MXR Dyna Comp too and I like it but I really ever use it when I'm playing country stuff on my telecaster to get that signature twang sound.
The hall of fame mini is pretty cool as you can just upload your favorite preset on it and go from there.
i won't be able to get it for like years, but I tried out this guitar last night and i think it's my dream guitar. Epiphone Masterbilt® Zenith Classic™ Acoustic/Electric Guitar
I'm still not entirely sold on the shape of the body, but man do I fucking love butterscotch blonde over ash with a blackguard. The block inlays are clutch too. This line up on guitars is gonna be special. I wanna get my hands on their Troublemaker Tele and the Jazzmaster-Tele hybrid.
I think the shape is what entices me the most. Looks so damn cool. I'm not as sold on the butterscotch.
I heard a demo of it yesterday, and it sounds like a normal Tele and apparently the body shape helps balance it better so that's a win.
true, but im never gonna pay 2000 for a guitar that isnt custom. So hopefully it's successful enough that they do a less expensive, less limited, run.
