@jorbjorb Update- I tested my bridge P90 theory with an EQ pedal with the low-end jacked, and it worked. At least it did with my amps eq’s set flat. But even once i set them to my specs it sounded good
24 hours till Black Friday sales on Sweetwater. Trying not to spend too much money but their deals are always so tempting.
Looks like a cross between a tele and a mustang. I dig. A Duncan '59 in the neck is always a plus too.
I swear i have never played a guitar in store and felt the way i did about this guitar. It’s tone is unreal. The neck is perfect. The pickup combination is incredible. When i played this guitar it wasn’t a matter of “this would be a sweet guitar to have”, but rather “when am i buying this guitar”.
you can always get stuff used ;) I try not to buy anything new, really, esp. when it comes to instruments.
Checked out a demo from the UK of that Godin guitar and holy shit what a tonally versatile guitar. I'm sure it probably plays just as good as it sounds too.
One guitar that I would love to own someday is a vintage LP Jr. with a single p-90. There's something awesome about how such a minimalist guitar can do so much and sound so good.
Yeah I just found out about it like two weeks ago and it's consuming all my thoughts. It's got my favorite shape and the versatility of what might be my favorite guitar? I'm like in love
I’ve played one unplugged. It’s about what you’d expect really. If you’re a telecaster guy, that’s what it is when it comes down to it. Really cool guitars. This post is no help.
Yeah, I love tele necks and headstocks and general sound but the offset body is definitely the move and I want it. This is actually helpful bc I have no way of playing it unless one happens to walk into one of the local guitar places
Yeah a local guitar shop randomly had one here, and it was a color id never seen before. It was all walnut-brown-natural color on the body, it was really beautiful. They’re strange guitars to me because when i very first saw one online i was like “wait is that ugly?... no... no i actually think it’s incredibly attractive” haha
Yeah I had actually the literal same reaction. With this guitar there's like three or four more guitars that I want and I'm really not sure I should foster these desires
Before I ever saw one, I assumed it was a tele shape with the hips shifted slightly. But I do love the jazzmaster shape, so throwing a tele neck and pickups on it is fine by me.
American vintage reissue jazzmaster, a g&l asat tele, and MAYBE a custom guitar if I ever nail down specifically what I want out of it.
Maybe a gratuitous post, but just found out I passed my grade 8 bass with distinction, so I'm jazzed.
Real talk, Andy from Pro Guitar Shop does some of the best demos on all of Youtube, and without a pick too! Dude’s a monster.
